Offsider Ag Backing Bars
Based on the practice of spear trapping cattle on water sources, used for over 100 years in western Queensland, the Offsider Ag Backing Bars are 100% electronic and hydraulics free.
Using gravity, design and a bit of know-how, we have produced a mechanical solution to the issue of stock baulking and backing up in the race.
Made of laser cut 8mm steel plate, rust proof painted and mounted on laser cut knuckles, with tightened adjustment as easy as the twist of a 19mm spanner.
These backing bars can be retro fitted by you, to most types of race, at your required height, or come installed in our single and double feed feed up races.

Property Access
Grids
Access and cattle grids, built in southern Queensland. Developed with either metal abutments, or compatible with Offsider Ag Concrete Abutments, Offsider Ag Grids come in both standard and custom sizes. Developed by an experienced civil engineering supervisor, Offsider Ag Grids are heavy duty and made from Australian steel.
Ramps
Offsider Ag Equipment loading ramps for large and small livestock. Developed for use in conjunction with Offsider Ag Cattle Handling and Meat Sheep Handling equipment, Offsider Ag ramps are compatible with most portable yards. Custom ramps (side loading, non standard length) are available, At Offsider Ag Equipment, we make a 3 meter and 4 meter cattle loading ramps, sheep loading ramps.
Made from Aussie made duragal rails, with 2” Aussie hardwood floor with 3”x3” raised treads.
We can also customise loading ramps to your needs, length, side loading, catwalks, gates etc.

Offsider Ag Meat Sheep Handler being used in an innovative and experimental way. At "Roselea" Evan & Helen Frankham marked 350 lambs, at about 75 per hour. They reported that the process was much easier on backs and bodies, as each lamb averages out at 18kgs. No lifting, no tipping.
Developed as a reponse to a customer request, this calf crush has simplieied the handling process for a large dairy. With double side access, and a rachet head bale, our customers can now perform health checks safely, simply and easily.

Combining the years of equipment innovation and fabrication engineering experience of Gerald Hicks (Carinya, Rudweigh, Metalcorp) with practical experience and customer knowledge of David Hicks and Andrea Brosnan, Offsider Ag is an Australian family partnership, who design and manufacture in regional Queensland.
